Naayak - Box Office Collection

Naayak was another success for Ram Charan after Racha. It beacme the hero’s 2nd highest grosser worldwide after Magadheera. By the end of most of its business, Naayak was the 6th highest grossing Telugu film of all time. Naayak grossed a total of 78.99 crores with 75.20 crores in India and USD$691K (3.79 crores) abroad.

The film earned 62 crores in Andhra/TS, the 5th highest at the time behind Magadheera, Gabbar Singh, Dookudu, and SVSC. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Northern belts gave decent returns too. Racha was the 2nd highest Telugu earner in Karnataka after Ram Charan’s own film Magadheera. Naayak’s Tamil version had a great opening in the state but unlike Racha, it quickly died at the box office leaving distributors and exhibitors in losses. North India had a similar story as well. On the other hand, Nayaak became Ram Charan’s 2nd highest grosser in Kerala after Magadheera.

Internationally, Naayak was severely affected by Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. The mostly negative reception amongst NRIs also catalyzed its drop at the foreign box office. Naayak earned approximately USD$525K in the USA. The movie was estimated to have grossed USD$42K in the UAE, A$32K in Australia, USD$23K in the UK, and SGD$14K in Singapore.

The following shows what distribution method each territory is distributed through. The Profit/Loss column in the distributor analysis table is calculated based off of which distribution method a territory is distributed through. This makes it so that a distributor's profit is not always calculated by subtracting "Rights" from "Share". Indian Movie Stats focuses on four different distribution methods: Non Refundable Advance, Minimum Guarantee, Advance Basis, and Own Release.
