Racha - Box Office Collection

Racha went on to earn huge numbers at the domestic box office becoming Ram Charan’s 2nd highest grosser after Magadheera. It closed as the 3rd highest grossing Telugu film of all time despite poor returns from abroad. Racha grossed a total of 78.59 crores with 75.30 crores in India and USD$644K (3.29 crores) abroad.

The film earned over 60 crores in Andhra/TS, the 3rd highest at the time behind Magadheera and Dookudu. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Northern belts all scored well too. Racha was the 2nd highest Telugu earner in Karnataka after Ram Charan’s own film Magadheera. Tamil Nadu unexpectedly had the film gross a huge 4 crores. Ram Charan proved he had a promising market in Tamil Nadu with Racha placing as the 2nd highest earner for a dubbed film in Tamil Nadu. The film shared a similar success story in Kerala and Northern belts too.

Internationally, Racha fared poorly due to its genre being unsuitable for NRI audiences. It earned approximately USD$480K in the USA. The movie was estimated to have grossed USD$39K in the UAE, A$29.5K in Australia, USD$21K in the UK, and SGD$13K in Singapore.

With Racha, Chiranjeevi’s proved he was able to compete with Tollywood’s top stars without the help of an ace director like Rajamouli.

The following shows what distribution method each territory is distributed through. The Profit/Loss column in the distributor analysis table is calculated based off of which distribution method a territory is distributed through. This makes it so that a distributor's profit is not always calculated by subtracting "Rights" from "Share". Indian Movie Stats focuses on four different distribution methods: Non Refundable Advance, Minimum Guarantee, Advance Basis, and Own Release.
