Singam 3 - Box Office Collection

Singam 3 closed at a worldwide total of 110 crores. The movie is Suriya’s second highest grosser after Singam 2, but despite good numbers it held a considerable amount of losses to distributors. The movie had an average opening in Tamil Nadu but manged good footfalls after the opening. In fact, it attracted more audiences to the theaters than Remo after the first week. Singam 3 crossed 43 crores in Tamil Nadu managing to beat Anjaan to become Suriya’s fourth highest grosser in the state falling behind Singam 2, 7aum Arivu, and Singam. It finished with a 28 crore share in Tamil Nadu falling signifacantly below it’s theatrical rights. In Andhra/TG the movie also faced similar levels of loss as the price was sold ridiciliously high. The movie grossed 18 crores in the two Telugu speaking states states registering his third highest grosser there falling behind 24 and 7aum Arivu. On a positive note, Karnataka, Kerala, and the rest of India all had Singam 3 raking in profits for the various parties involved. Outside of India the film was a bit up and down with core markets such as Malaysia, UAE, GCC, and Sri Lanka being profitable while other areas were not. Singapore, Australia, and France showed average returns while other territories in Europe and North America returned poor results.

Singam 3 - First Weekend Collection

Fortunately for the makers and distributors, Singam 3 picked up great over the weekend. It grossed a total of 22.5 crores in its four day weekend in Tamil Nadu, Suriya’s third biggest yet after Anjaan and Singam 2. Andhra/TG and Karnataka broke opening records for the actor and Kerala coming in close to beat his previous film “24” as well. In Karnataka, it witnessed the biggest non-Rajini Tamil opening. Outside of India was a success story as well. Malaysia held the 5th biggest Tamil opening in the country only to be behind Kabali, Vedalam, Kaththi and Thuppakki. Three of these films had more than a four day weekend as well. The Gulf, Singapore, and Sri Lanka grossed huge numbers along with Malaysia. While these territories showed great numbers, North America and Europe were a bit below par. Singam 3 grossed a total near 64 crores worldwide, 8 crores higher than “24”.

Singam 3 - First Day Collection

Singam 3 opened to a decent first day. After the FDFS shows, positive reviews came from critics and the general audience which helped the film to keep its occupancies at a good level throughout the day. In fact, the film picked up greatly during the evening. Suriya’s film grossed a total of 6 crores in Tamil Nadu which can be considered “Average”. Other areas set records for Suriya grossing huge numbers in Andhra/TG, Karnataka, Kerala, and the rest of India. The Hari directional grossed a total of 19 crores on its first day worldwide. Good so far but it needs a great weekend as well to get the trade to consider the movie as a successful venture.
