The following shows what distribution method each territory is distributed through. The Profit/Loss column in the distributor analysis table is calculated based off of which distribution method a territory is distributed through. This makes it so that a distributor's profit is not always calculated by subtracting "Rights" from "Share". Indian Movie Stats focuses on four different distribution methods: Non Refundable Advance, Minimum Guarantee, Advance Basis, and Own Release.

Arrambam - Box Office Collection

After the humungous opening, Arrambam managed to run on a great number of shows despite the competition from the other Diwali releases. By it's third weekend the movie witnessed a small drop due to Villa (Pizza 2) taking over most of the screens in Tamil Nadu. By then the movie stopped collecting much from various markets around the world. Villa then turned out to be an Above Average at the box office but the movie was strong enough to affect Arrambam's position at the box office. On top of that Arya's Irandaam Ulagam was welcomed with a grand opening pushing Arrambam's rank further down the box office. This got the film underperform a bit in major territories like Chennai, Madurai, and Salem. But despite the trouble, the film managed to cross the 45 crore mark in it's home state by it's third weekend and got to a total of 49 Crores. The movie failed to touch the 50 crore mark but ended up as Ajith's highest earner in the state. The movie did surprisingly well in Andhra and Telengana as Ajith isn't much of a familiar face there. The movie didn't have much competition at the Telugu box office as many biggies didn't release during the time which got the film to be recognizable and have decent word of mouth. In Karnataka and Kerala, Arrambam had a decent run grossing around 4.75 crores in Kerala and 3.75 crores in Karnataka. But compared to other biggies like Thuppakki and Singam 2, Arrambam didn't have that big of a performance. But the film got good enough returns to be profitable. Arrambam had a huge run outside of India becoming the highest Non-Rajini/Shankar earner. Arrambam grossed huge numbers in North America and Europe. In Europe not only did the film perform well in the United Kingdom, but it did well in France, Denmark, Switzerland, and Germany where Tamil films don't usually get good returns. The movie became the highest Ajith grosser in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Singapore too. In the USA, the movie managed to cross Thuppakki and become the highest non-Rajini/Shankar/Kamal tamil flick in the country. Overall, the film grossed a total of 29 crores overseas. Arrambam grossed a total of 93 crores worldwide at the end of it's run becoming Ajith's highest grosser.
